Back to ThinkingConcept 09 · The completed campaign
The work was delivered. Did it do the right thing?
A campaign was delivered, and its timing and cost were reported as success. Completing the work is efficacy. Completing it with less time or money is efficiency. Effectiveness is the business effect you set out to create. The first two were reported; the third was never defined in advance, so nobody could tell whether the right thing happened.
Completion is not effectiveness.
