All problems
VeoliaEnvironmental services, AsiaGreen2Biz go-to-market

They asked for a sales kit. There was no sales process.

The request was for sales materials. Looking at how the offer actually reached a buyer, there was no route for a salesperson to follow.

01

The problem

Green2Biz needed to be sold to businesses, and the brief asked for a brochure and supporting material. The material was supposed to help people sell something that had no agreed way of being sold.

02

What we saw

An internal audit of the existing sales process and assets found there was no working process to support: no agreed propositions, no defined way of making and following up contact, no next step for a buyer, and nothing being measured. A brochure in that situation just moves the problem further down the line.

03

What we did

We started with the route to market instead of the artwork. That meant an internal audit, an honest look at what already existed and what it was worth keeping, then a definition of the key propositions, of who contacts whom, and of the buyer's next action at each point. We set up what would be measured before anything launched. Only then did we describe the sales process itself, the materials it genuinely required, and the order to put them in place — an audit dashboard, a web portal, a sales brochure, an audit report and a presentation deck.

The tell

“Materials cannot repair a missing route to market.”
