CRM is not a database. It is what happens over time.

Points, emails, a platform and customer data were presented as the relationship, so adding more of them looked like progress. They are ingredients. The relationship is what happens over time: a small number of useful touchpoints, each with a clear role and a next step. Without relevance, more tools only buy more interruption.

The relationship is the system. The software only supports it.
