Registration looked like admin. It was the customer journey.
The task read as logistics: get people registered online, then get them registered again at the door.
The problem
Each step worked on its own. Nobody could see one guest moving through all of them.
What we saw
Registration was being treated as a form at the door. It actually starts at the invitation — and it is the only place where the whole journey can be seen and measured.
What we did
One connected record from invitation to arrival: a contact strategy first, then a measurement framework, then personalised emails, landing page and reminders built on the same data. Onsite registration ran on iPads against that record, with print on demand at check-in, and the workflow reported live so the room could be read while it filled.
What this changed
A set of administrative steps became one measurable experience with a single transparent workflow. The sources record the deliverables, not attendance or speed figures, and none are claimed here.
“If a step has its own data, it is probably its own silo.”
